Club File Storage and Collaboration Guide
This guide will help you get started with Club File Storage and Collaboration on the VK44 Network.
Requirements
In order for your Amateur Radio Club to utilise the VK44.NET for File Storage and Collaboration, each member you wish to share with will need to have a VK44.NET Account, which of course is FREE.
Club Members won’t need to utilise our Network with Nodes if they don’t wish to, however, the option is there for them.
Club Member Login
Once registered your Club Members will be able to securely access your Club Documents and you can even collaborate on Minutes and Agenda Items, along with creating todo lists, etc. you can all access.
We understand, more than most people, that you need to keep some files for certain members. So, you can also set permissions for certain files to ensure they remain safe with your executive team.
This service is available free of charge to VK (Australia) Amateur Radio Operators which are approved users of the VK44 Network. Service Terms and Conditions apply.
Instructions
These Instructions are in DRAFT, please let us know on Support Chat if you have any thoughts or ideas.
We are currently tossing up the idea of allowing registered clubs the ability to securely store and collaborate on files. This would allow Club Members easy access to sharing files without relying on other Cloud Storage Platforms or Email to share information.
We can work with clubs to find a Storage Limit which will work for them while being fair to all users of the VK44.NET (For example if would be very easy for us to provide each club with 10GB of storage).
If your club may be interested, send us an email at: admin@vk44.net and we can look at providing a Trial/Pilot.
1. Once available, Clubs will be able to automatically register via a Request Form.
2. VK44.NET System Admins will validate that you are an executive of a VK Amateur Radio Club to ensure we validate who will administer your clubs storage and members. Once we validate who you and your club are, we will enable a Club Storage Account for FREE.
3. Once approved, you will see a Club Folder (with your Clubs Callsign) appear which will have it’s own storage limit and you will be able to start adding files.
4. You will then be able to add additional VK44.NET Accounts to your Club Storage Account, putting your Club Executive Team in control of who has access to what.
- You will even be able share files onto your club website or via email to people without VK44.NET Accounts.
As per above, we are just thinking out load here as to what we could offer at this stage, no set plans yet. :)
Enjoy the VK44 Network!
